How it Works

Getting started is easy. Information on boarding and daycare protocol at Two Rock Dog Ranch.

Request an Evaluation

Getting Started

Getting started is straightforward. Reach out to schedule a tour or evaluation, then have your veterinarian send over your dog's current vaccine records and negative giardia test result before the appointment. Evaluations are required before boarding or daycare, and appointments are booked at 9:30, 9:45, and 10:00 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. All health requirements must be completed before the appointment, and families are welcome to email us for further details. Once your dog completes the evaluation and is approved for group care, you can begin booking boarding or using daycare. It is smart to reach out early, since evaluation appointments can sometimes book several weeks out.

Health & Vaccination Requirements

Two-Week Quarantine Requirement
To help keep every dog safe and healthy, we require a two-week quarantine before visiting Two Rock Dog Ranch. During this period, dogs should avoid large dog groups, other daycare or boarding facilities, dog parks, and public water bowls. This helps prevent dogs from arriving while they may be incubating a virus, even if they are not showing symptoms yet. Other requirements include:

  • Bordetella within the past six months. Please note that most vets give a yearly expiration date, but we require it every 6 months.

  • DHPP current, either annual or every three years depending on your veterinarian's schedule and per the vaccine's expiration date.

  • Current rabies vaccination certificate, per the vaccine's expiration date.

  • Current canine influenza vaccination (CIV), per the vaccine's expiration date.

  • Negative annual giardia lab result.

  • Please be sure your dog is on some type of flea control, with monthly flea prevention and a flea-free arrival.

  • Spay or neuter required for dogs six months and older.

Evaluation Process

Evaluations are done by appointment in the morning, and the goal is simple: make sure your dog is comfortable, safe, and happy in an off-leash group setting. Evaluation appointments are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 9:30, 9:45, and 10:00 a.m., and all health requirements must be completed before the appointment. Dogs are introduced one at a time, then in gradually larger groups, so the team can watch how they handle other dogs, new people, routine movement, and the everyday activity around the ranch.

Every dog is different. Some settle in right away, while others need more time to warm up. At Two Rock Dog Ranch, we offer daycare, overnight boarding, and a carefully supervised social environment where dogs can feel safe and comfortable. Dogs must be friendly with our staff and other dogs, and we are unable to accommodate aggressive or unsafe behavior. Please email us if you have questions about whether Two Rock is the right fit for your dog.
