About Us
Two Rock Dog Ranch started with a simple vision from Sue and Richard Harris: create the happiest possible place for a dog to stay.
Our Story
Two Rock Dog Ranch started with a simple vision from Sue and Richard Harris: create the happiest possible place for a dog to stay. They wanted a place where dogs could run, play, splash, sniff, rest when they wanted to, and never feel alone. That vision became reality in 2002 when they opened Cotati Dog Boarding, which they renamed Two Rock Dog Ranch in 2009. Today, the ranch sits on 30 acres in Sonoma County just outside Petaluma, with room for dogs to be dogs in a safe, carefully supervised setting.
Community Rescue
We care about the wider dog community as much as we care for the dogs in front of us. Two Rock Dog Ranch partner, Sue Harris, is a co-founder of The Kern Project, a rescue organization that was started about 20 years ago, saving thousands of dogs, cats and even a few horses. Rescue work is personal for us; it matters, second chances matter, and we’re glad to shine a light on the people and organizations helping dogs find safety, care, and a home.
